.

I read a beautiful story today and it goes like this:

It is the sixteenth century, Holland, and the Mennonites are being persecuted. They are outlawed and so when caught they are often executed. There is a Mennonite man named Dirk Willens who is being chased by an authority across a frozen pond. Suddenly, the ice brakes though and the authority falls through the ice and begins to drown. Dirk hears his cries and stops, turns around, and pulls the man from the ice. The authority, thinking it his duty, arrests Dirk. Dirk is burned at the stake a couple of days later.

This is the life of a Kingdom dweller, a follower and disciple of Christ.

Thanks Dirk.
