Mutual Appreciation

Justin Rice of the band Bishop Allen (a band this movie has turned me on too, check them out) plays the main character Alan, "in a cleverly written, utterly timeless snapshop of post-college angst." The movie Mutual Appreciation is less a love story than an insightful and hilarious portrayal of the art of miscommunication the cover says. It's hilarious, so awkward, and will leave you wanting to stay up until the wee hours of the night over pints. Alan gets a phone call about his overdue credit card bill from his dad, but never returns the call. He still hasn't when the credits roll. Does his dad pay it? When the credits roll, it goes away for him. If only we could roll the credits when the bill comes. I checked this out over at the library. Come hang out and we'll watch it over pints then walk over and return it.
